Service Description
ITS offers a free IMAP based email service. This is a legacy service and will be retired by the (calendar) end of 2011. Faculty Staff will be migrated to the Microsoft Exchange service. A decision on student email is pending.
- Nightly incremental and weekly full back-ups sent to tape and retained on-site for 14 days.
- Restores are performed by administrators and can be requested with a call to 962-HELP.
- Roundcube based webmail service.

This service is available 24×7.

Customer Responsibilities
Customer is responsible mailbox management and adherence to the UNC Network Acceptable Use Policy.
